A few years ago, through no
particular fault of my own, I was a
victim of identity theft. I
found out about it half by accident,
when my cellphone provider informed
me that their records showed two
entirely separate accounts under my
social security number. The
other had been closed for
nonpayment.
To make a long story short, it was
like pulling teeth getting anyone to
care about the situation. I
get it cleared but it wasn't easy.
So I strongly recommend to anyone
with a lot to lose, to have a
company monitor your credit affairs.
Lexington Law does it best.
